BURLEY -- Winston J. (Boots) Hutchison, 74, Burley, died Sunday, May 20, 2001, at Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley.

He was born July 10, 1926, in Providence, Utah, the son of David Nish and Charlotte Neddo Hutchison.

He joined the Army at the age of 18 and served during World War II and the Korean Conflict as a hand-to-hand combat instructor.

He married JaNeal Jardine on August 6, 1949, in Burley. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Following their marriage, they lived in Malta and the Burley area where Winston worked as a farmhand and as a motor repairman. They lived for a short time in Salt Lake City and Logan, Utah, before returning to the Burley area where he worked for Anderson Brothers, the A&P Tea Company and later, with JaNeal, worked for Idaho Realty. Prior to retiring in 1985, he sold fertilizer.

Survivors include his wife JaNeal of Burley; his children, William (Bonnie) Hutchison of Blackfoot, W. Jay Hutchison of Rupert, Kevin (Shirley) Hutchison of Declo, Robert Hutchison and Kerry (Robin) Hutchison, all of Burley; four sisters, Donna Anderson, Pauline (Kyle) Ransom, Charell (Paul) Harris, and Elsie Breault all of Logan, Utah; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Jean; two brothers, Robert and David O.; and two grandchildren, Dustin Raney and MacKenzie Jared Hutchison.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2001, at the Malta First and Second Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Jack M. Hunsaker officiating. Interment will be in Valley Vu Cemetery in Malta with military graveside rites under the direction of Almo Post #96 of the American Legion.





Friends may call at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., Burley, from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, and at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Friday prior to the services.
